Default Have some trouble with clutch

Up to now, I have had very little problems with my clutch. Couple of races ago, I noticed that the Rekluse clutch would not disengage on a start and the engine continued to pull eventhough I had released the throttle.

Ridden the bike several more times with little issue. However, after 3 rides around the track today, I hear this rattling in the engine area. Pull back to the pit, and listen more closely, and I hear the noise coming from the clutch area.

What I found was one of the friction plates broke apart.

All the other plates look fine. Any suggestions? Do I need to replace all the friction plates. Do I need to check for metal in the clutch area?????

Help!!!

I think I can shed a little light on your problem. Based on the photo provided, you need to use a better quality paper towel. Something like Bounty, "The Quicker Picker Upper," is a better ply towel for those oily messes your getting into.

Hope this helps.

Hoot Fodder comes in many varieties. On and off the track.

Call Rekluse--I've found them to great to work with on any questions I've had.

And in reviewing that Start at Kentwood where you went off the track(Bobs video)---it looks like you hit one of those groves that where on the track and got into a case of whiskey.

I dont' know about those recluse clutches, Its seem every rider who had one on their bike duing the last race, or the ones that had their bike "stall in the turns" don't seem to be doing the job that you guys bought it for....

Just crank up the Idle whenever you are racing.. Cheaper also..
